7 Minute Muscle Works
There are about as many workout programs in this world as there are atoms in the universe. I know that that is an exaggeration but it sure does seem that way sometimes. If you go to a bookstore or to Amazon.com and search body building or strength training you will get a few hundred answers. I know in my short lifetime (44 years) that I’ve bought more than a few books on the subject. I always get excited with new ideas and implementing them into my workout. I really can’t complain since it has helped to keep things fresh and helped me not burn out.
Well Jon Benson has written a book and it is COMPLETELY DIFFERENT from anything that I’ve ever read on th subject of Muscle Building. He has done the research and put in the time and effort and cost of trying a completely unique approach to exercise. Instead of more – he has learned that you can actually do less, or in less time anyway. At first it is hard to believe that exercising in a shorter period of time would actually help you build muscle. But if you think about it, muscle building and weight training haven’t been around that long. I think the first gyms with weights in them didn’t start up until the 1920′s. Hell, even pro athletes didn’t take up lifting weights to improve performance until the mid to late 70′s.
So taking that into account it would make sense that most of the information on building muscle would not have real world testing behind it. You could see that if Arnold said that he did such and such that you should do such and such also. Unfortunately for you, you don’t have Arnold’s genetics nor his needles. Sorry Arnie, but its true.
Thats the great thing about science. Things can be tested. Double blind testing with hundreds of people to REALLY FIND what works and what doesn’t. The beauty of science also is in the discovery of things that in the original test you hadn’t thought of, like working out less being a more efficient way to build muscle instead of working out more. Sort of like the largest living mammal in the world survives by eating one of the smallest.
It takes a little while to wrap your mind around it but after a while you do. Thats what 7 Minute Muscle is like. You don’t want to believe it at first since it goes against everything that you have been told. Doctrine is doctrine for a reason, right? Well no, not really. Doctrine is doctrine because a lot of people pushed the same idea on everyone and eventually shut up others from trying to express their new ideas. Thats never really been a good idea, in any venture. New ideas gave us everything that we have today and will continue to give us everything that we will have tomorrow. And new ideas help us to accomplish things that just a decade ago or 4 decades ago would have seemed impossible. Like cheese in a can? My grandmother lived long enough to see it but never understood it.
Well this is something that I think you should give a try. It can’t hurt, I mean, are you going to waist your precious time in 7 minutes? Think about it. When you work out now you are using at least 30 minutes to an hour of your time. How much could it hurt to try working out in as little as 7 minutes?
